What is the UHOST-A used for?
The Tittron UHOST-A works as a USB MIDI to 5‑pin DIN MIDI bridge. It converts signals from USB-A MIDI controllers and keyboards into traditional 5-pin DIN MIDI signals, so you can connect modern USB MIDI gear to legacy MIDI instruments like synthesizers, sound modules and drum machines.
Does the USB Type‑B port transfer MIDI data?
No. The USB Type-B port is for power supply only. It does not transmit any data or MIDI signals.
What do the LED lights indicate?
The Status LED turns on when the unit successfully recognizes a connected USB MIDI device. The MIDI IN and MIDI OUT LEDs flash separately to show incoming and outgoing MIDI signal activity.
Can I use this for both studio work and live performance?
Yes. It is designed for mixed USB and 5-pin DIN MIDI setups, suitable for home studio production as well as live stage rigs.
What MIDI devices can I connect to the USB-A host port?
It supports standard USB-A MIDI controllers and MIDI keyboards.

Driver-free, plug-and-play. No extra software or driver installation is required.
Can I use it in reverse? Convert 5-pin DIN MIDI to USB MIDI signal?
No. Signal direction is fixed. It only converts USB-A MIDI input to 5-pin DIN MIDI output, reverse conversion is not supported.
What is the MIDI IN port used for?
The MIDI IN port receives MIDI signals from legacy 5-pin DIN MIDI devices and passes the data back to your connected USB MIDI controller. It supports bidirectional MIDI communication.
