The Tittron UHOST-A is a standalone USB Host MIDI interface that connects modern USB MIDI equipment to classic 5-pin DIN MIDI hardware without a computer. Connect a USB MIDI controller, keyboard or USB‑A MIDI interface (e.g. Tittron MIDI-C01b) to control legacy gear directly: analogue synths, sound modules, drum machines and vintage rack effects. It converts USB MIDI to standard 5-pin DIN MIDI, enabling seamless mixed USB/DIN MIDI routing for DAWless studios, live rigs, rehearsal spaces and fixed installations.
Engineered for studio and stage, it has a robust metal casing resistant to bumps and vibration, with a compact form factor suitable for desktops or pedalboards. It features one USB Type‑A host port and 5-PIN DIN MIDI IN/OUT, powered by a dedicated USB Type‑B port (power only, no data). Built-in LEDs show host status and real-time MIDI IN/OUT activity. It supports flexible routing: USB MIDI + DIN MIDI IN to DIN MIDI OUT; DIN MIDI IN simultaneously outputs to USB-A and DIN MIDI OUT.

What is the UHOST-A used for?
The Tittron UHOST-A works as a USB MIDI to 5‑pin DIN MIDI bridge. It converts signals from USB-A MIDI controllers and keyboards into traditional 5-pin DIN MIDI signals, so you can connect modern USB MIDI gear to legacy MIDI instruments like synthesizers, sound modules and drum machines.
Does the USB Type‑B port transfer MIDI data?
No. The USB Type-B port is for power supply only. It does not transmit any data or MIDI signals.
What do the LED lights indicate?
The Status LED turns on when the unit successfully recognizes a connected USB MIDI device. The MIDI IN and MIDI OUT LEDs flash separately to show incoming and outgoing MIDI signal activity.
Can I use this for both studio work and live performance?
