Most competing dual-port USB-to-RS232 adapters ship with two DB9 male connectors. When field technicians work with a mix of DTE devices (PLC, CNC controllers) and DCE peripherals (serial printers, sensors, modems), they must carry extra DB9 gender changers. Poor-quality gender adapters frequently cause packet loss and intermittent connection issues, adding spare-part overhead and potential failure points. The adapter integrates a built-in 2-port USB 2.0 hub. It only consumes one upstream USB port from the host PC.
