Shenzhen, China – FlykanTech (flykantech.com), a professional manufacturer of industrial interface hardware, together with its wholly owned subsidiary Tittron.com, today announces the new USBH232-MF2U adapter, which will be launched globally under the Tittron entity. This multi-function USB to dual RS232 converter rethinks conventional dual DB9-male serial adapters and addresses long-standing pain points for automation engineers, test bench builders and POS system integrators.
Most competing dual-port USB-to-RS232 adapters ship with two DB9 male connectors. When field technicians work with a mix of DTE devices (PLC, CNC controllers) and DCE peripherals (serial printers, sensors, modems), they must carry extra DB9 gender changers. Poor-quality gender adapters frequently cause packet loss and intermittent connection issues, adding spare-part overhead and potential failure points. USBH232-MF2U features one DB9 male and one DB9 female port, allowing direct connection to both categories of serial hardware without extra gender changers, improving reliability on site.
The adapter integrates a built-in 2-port USB 2.0 hub. It only consumes one upstream USB port from the host PC. Traditional setups require a separate dual serial adapter plus an external USB hub, occupying two host USB ports and creating messy cabling with multiple points of failure. With USBH232-MF2U, users get two independent RS232 channels plus two USB 2.0 expansion ports from one single USB connection, supporting serial devices, security dongles, barcode scanners and flash drives simultaneously and simplifying cabinet and test-bench wiring.
The host connection uses a detachable USB Type-B port. Customers can customize cable length and choose USB-A or USB-C plugs freely. Traditional adapters use permanently molded USB cables; if the cable is damaged by repeated bending or pulling, the whole unit has to be discarded. The detachable cable architecture of USBH232-MF2U means users only replace damaged cables instead of the whole adapter, cutting spare and maintenance costs for OEM projects and enabling custom cable configurations.
For performance, each RS232 channel uses a dedicated PL2303-GC controller. Unlike low-cost solutions that use one single UART chip to virtualize two COM ports, this design delivers true parallel full-duplex communication without bandwidth contention or dropped packets under concurrent high-speed data transmission. It is suitable for 24/7 industrial monitoring and automated data acquisition. Individual TX/RX/PWR LEDs on every serial port enable fast on-site troubleshooting. Engineers can visually check data flow without software tools and quickly isolate communication faults.
Broad OS support covers Windows including Windows 11 ARM, modern macOS and Linux LTS distributions, minimizing integration risk for mixed-system workstations.
Target applications: industrial automation debugging, CNC equipment, POS terminals, laboratory test benches, IoT device validation and security serial monitoring. Product page: https://www.tittron.com/products/usbh232-mf2u
