The DP2C8K-A-P1 active adapter solves the common problem for desktop PC users who want to connect their graphics card’s DisplayPort output to a USB‑C portable monitor. Many portable displays only feature Type‑C DP Alt Mode input, leaving desktop gamers and content creators without a simple way to feed video from discrete GPU DP ports. This unidirectional converter takes your desktop GPU DP video signal and outputs standard DP Alt Mode from its USB‑C female port, letting you use your USB‑C portable screen as an extended or primary monitor without replacing your graphics card or buying a new display.
This DP 1.4 adapter supports video resolution up to 8K@60Hz with DSC compression, alongside 4K@144Hz, 2K@240Hz and 1080P@240Hz. It fully handles CC/VDM negotiation, EDID emulation and HPD hot‑plug detection automatically. The compact all-black metal housing provides reliable EMI shielding to reduce signal interference, delivering stable video transmission. An E‑Marker full-featured USB‑C cable is required on the Type‑C side to achieve 8K@60Hz high resolution.
