The Tittron's 3G-SDI Cable RG-179 is designed to carry up to 3 Gb/s Data rates to support uncompressed HD Video Signals. At the same time it's suitable as a solution for studio patching applications. The Cable features low-profile, locking BNC Connectors that offer a trustworthy connection between a Camera and Video Peripheral such as a Monitor, External Recorder, or Switcher. Due to its slim diameter, the cable is flexible enough to rout around gear without tangling or knotting for a clutter-free camera rig, patch bay, or machine rack. Molded strain relief secures the critical point between the cable and connector and assures a Trouble-Free Signal Transfer.- What Is 3G-SDI -The third generation of SDI is known as 3G-SDI and is a revision of the SMPTE 424M standard which specifies a video resolution of 1080 pixel video with 60 frames per second and data transfer speeds of up to 3 Gigabit per second.
